PURPOSE: A surface light source device, a method for manufacturing the same and an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) comprising the same are provided to emit visible light in discharge spaces without passing through fluorescent patterns, thereby enhancing brightness of the light source device, by forming opening regions between the fluorescent patterns and space dividing members for forming the discharge space. CONSTITUTION: The first fluorescent patterns(215) are arranged in parallel at the first intervals over the first substrate(210). The first fluorescent patterns convert invisible light into visible light. The second substrate(220) is opposed to the first substrate. A plurality of space dividing members(230) are arranged between adjacent the first fluorescent patterns. Each of the space dividing members has a width smaller than the size of the first interval. The space dividing members are disposed between the first substrate and the second substrates to contact with the two substrates. Herein, the space dividing members divide the spacers between the two substrates into a plurality of discharge spaces. A plurality of opening regions(R) are formed at regions between the fluorescent patterns and the space dividing members. The first fluorescent patterns, the first substrate, the second substrate, and the space dividing members constitute a light source body. A voltage applying part(300) supplies voltage to each of the discharge spaces, thus generating the invisible light.
