PURPOSE: A plasma display panel and a method for driving the same are provided to maintain the conventional addressing efficiency with keeping the driving waveform although the address time and the scan time are short. CONSTITUTION: A plasma display panel includes a first substrate, a second substrate, a plurality of address electrodes, a first electrode, a second electrode and a driving circuit. The first substrate and the second substrate are facing to each other by a predetermined distance. The plurality of address electrodes is arranged on the first substrate. The first electrode and the second electrode are formed on the second substrate with crossing the address electrodes. And, the driving circuit transmits the driving signal to the first electrode, the second electrode, and the address electrode at the reset period, the address period, and the sustain period.
