LCD CAPABLE OF PUTTING THE DISPLAY CENTER OF A DISPLAY REGION ON THE CENTER OF THE LCD TO REDUCE OUTLINE SIZE OF THE LCD

PURPOSE: An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) is provided to make it possible to put the display center of a display region and the center of an LCD, thereby reducing outline size, by forming the first and the second peripheral regions at both sides of a display region to have same widths, and the first and the second side walls of a container to have same widths. CONSTITUTION: An LCD comprises a display unit having an LCD panel(330) and a backlight assembly having a lamp unit, a light guide plate(420), and a container(430). The LCD panel has a display region(DA) for displaying an image and a peripheral region, wherein the peripheral region includes the first peripheral region(PA1) and the second peripheral region(PA2) at both sides of the display region having same widths. The container includes a bottom surface and four side walls comprising the first side wall(434a) and the second side wall(434b). The first and the second side walls receive the first and the second peripheral regions of the LCD panel, and have same widths.
