A reverse rotation preventing structure of a key lock cam for a shift lever is provided to operate the shift lever conveniently by restricting reverse rotation of the key lock cam in spite of placing the key lock cable vertically to the floor. An end bracket(34) is fixed to an end of a rod(32) of a shift lever(30), and a stopper(36) is moved up and down in the end bracket and combined with a detent pin(35). A lever bracket(38) is combined with a base bracket by a hinge, and a key lock cam(52) is connected to a key lock cable coupled to a key set. The key lock cam is hinge-combined with the base bracket by a hinge shaft(54), and a groove(52a) is formed in the key lock cam to fit the detent pin. A fitting sill(52b) is formed in the lower part of the key lock cam, and a spindle(62) is fitted to the fitting sill. The base bracket is hinge-combined with the spindle by a hinge shaft(64) to restrict reverse rotation of the key lock cam in placing the shift lever besides the P-range.
