SHARED-NOTHING DATABASE CLUSTER SERVER SYSTEM AND ON-LINE SCALING METHOD

A database cluster server system of a non-shared structure for stably and continuously processing a large quantity of queries, and an online expansion system are provided to keep a minimum response time in process of the large quantity of queries through efficient online reorganization/expansion minimizing influence on system performance and fit to dynamic environment without violating integrity. A client(400) includes a GUI(Graphic User Interface)-based query processor, a program manager managing the cluster system, and a monitor monitoring resource of each node, and transmits the query the basic query component(700). The basic query processing component analyzes/transmits the received query to a database management component(800) and offers a query result to the client. The database management component determines operation order of the query, the reorganization/expansion, and assignment of transaction resources depending on a query analysis result. A global meta manager(500) provides information of data accessed by the query to the basic query processing component and keeps meta information of all nodes uniform in a specified time.
