To provide a method for controlling the measured periodical fluctuation of the molten steel level after effectively measuring periodical fluctuation of molten steel level caused by bulging phenomenon of slab. The method for controlling fluctuation of molten steel level caused by slab bulging comprises: first step of measuring a molten steel level of a casting mold(40) and setting opening area of a sliding gate communicated with the casting mold from tundish(10) containing molten steel(200) through the measured molten steel level of the casting mold; second step of drawing out molten steel discharged from the casting mold by plural drawing rolls(70); third step of measuring current fluctuation values of drawing roll drivers(100) according to drawing out of molten steel; fourth step of converting the current fluctuation value measured in the third step into a bulging amount of molten steel; fifth step of calculating a molten steel level by dividing the bulging amount obtained in the fourth step by sectional area of the casting mold; sixth step of databasing the molten steel level calculated in the fifth step and the molten steel level measured in the first step; seventh step of calculating a delay time taken until the molten steel level of the fifth step is equalized with the molten steel level of the first step by comparatively analyzing data of the sixth step; and eighth step of compensating an adjusting time point of the sliding gate set in the first step considering the delay time of the seventh step.
