A communication terminal, a communication network, and a method for partially updating software with reduced upgrade time, and a device and the method for generating the software for the same are provided to shorten the upgrade time of the embedded software by assigning an ID key to each divided section of the software and finding/downloading/upgrading the changed section with use of the ID key. An ID key generating module(110) is executed in the terminal(10a) of a member manufacturing/forwarding an embedded device(20). A download processing module(120) is executed on a business office terminal(10b) for offering a download service of the software embedded in the embedded device. The ID key generating module divides the software downloaded to the embedded device into the sections of a predetermined size and generates/stores the ID for each section. The download processing module compares each ID key of the embedded software with each ID key of the software stored in the business office terminal, changes the data for the corresponding section of the embedded software by transmitting the data determined as a disagreed ID key and the ID key to the embedded device, and updates the ID key of the changed section.
