A pharmaceutical composition comprising Allomyrina dichotoma and Cordyceps militaris is provided, which composition is useful for prevention and treatment of diabetes mellitus caused by foreign chemical invasion or virus infection without side effects. The pharmaceutical composition for prevention and treatment of diabetes mellitus caused by foreign chemical invasion or virus infection comprises Allomyrina dichotoma and Peacilomyces tenuipes as active components, and carriers with which the extracts of Allomyrina dichotoma and Peacilomyces tenuipes are mixed or diluted, or into which the extracts of Allomyrina dichotoma and Peacilomyces tenuipes are inserted, wherein the carriers are solid, semi-solid or liquid materials functioning as a vehicle, a wall material or a medium to the active components when they are used as diluents; the composition has a formulation selected from tablet, pill, powder, suspension, oil, solution, syrup, aerosol, soft or hard gelatin casule, sterilized injection and sterilized powder; and the carrier, wall material and diluent are lactose, dextrose, sucrose, sorbitol, mannitol, calcium silicate, cellulose, methyl cellulose, amorphous cellulose, polyvinylpyrrolidone, water, methylhydroxybenzoate, propylhydroxybenzoate, talc, magnesium stearate and minerals.
