The present invention relates to a method for screening a pharmaceutical composition for treating cancer based on the binding ability between RAD51 protein and ASK1 protein. More specifically, the present invention relates to a method for screening an anticancer substance or apoptosis regulator that can induce an increase in intracellular cell death by inhibiting the interaction between RAD51 and ASK1 protein.;Anticancer substances or apoptosis regulators according to the present invention can be usefully used to treat cancer through a mechanism that promotes apoptosis of cancer cells by inhibiting the binding of RAD51 and ASK1.
