TEST METHOD TO EVALUATE PERMANENT DEFORMATION RESISTANCE OF ASPHALT MIXTURE

PURPOSE: A method for testing resistance of asphalt mixture against plastic deformation and a test sample mounting chamber used for the method are provided to prevent plastic deformation of asphalt and to precisely recognize about resistance of asphalt against plastic deformation. CONSTITUTION: A test sample made of asphalt mixture is fabricated and processed(S10). Grids are formed at one side of the test sample in a predetermined interval(S20). The test sample formed with grids is mounted on a test sample mounting chamber. Then, the test sample mounting chamber is heated to allow the test sample mounting chamber to have a predetermined temperature(S30). Then, one side of the test sample mounting chamber is opened so as to expose the grids of the test sample(S40). Then, after closing one side of the test sample mounting chamber, load is applied to an upper portion of the test samples(S50). Then, the grids of the test sample are again exposed(S60). After that, a plastic deformation value of the test sample is compared with a predetermine value(S70).
