Process for silica microcapsule by sol-gel reation

PURPOSE: Provided is a method for fabricating silica microcapsule using sol-gel reaction, the method being advantageous in not depending on core material and not using surfactant. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of emulsifying a liquid mixture including core material, TEOS (tetraethylorthosilicate), partially hydrolyzed silane compound in a liquid having opposite polarity to the core material and containing alkali, thereby causing sol-gel reaction at an interface of a core and a shell. wherein a heating process may be further performed to remove the core of the microcapsule, thereby fabricating a microcapsule with empty core.
