PURPOSE: A digital composite recorder device is provided to encode an analog A/V signal and a digital broadcasting signal in common data compression format to record the encoded signals, and to transmit a read/decoded analog A/V signal to an external computer in M-JPEG data compression format, then to control an MPEG2 TS encoding/recording mode correspondingly to a user command transmitted from the external computer. CONSTITUTION: Tuner units(121,122) receive a digital broadcasting signal, and output digital broadcasting data. An AD converter(111) receives an analog video signal to convert into a digital signal, and outputs the digital signal. The first moving image encoder(112) encodes the digital output signal according to the first moving image compression format, and outputs the first moving image data. A storage medium connector(125) receives the digital broadcasting data and the first moving image data to store the received data, and outputs file moving image data. Moving image decoders(123,124) receive the digital broadcasting data and the file moving image data to decode the received data, and output moving image non-compressive data. The second moving image encoder(113) encodes the digital output signal and the moving image non-compressive data according to the second moving image compression format, and outputs the second moving image data. A network connector(114) delivers the second moving image data.
