PURPOSE: Provided is a food for treating hepatic fibrosis which uses the extract of an artificially cultivated wild ginseng cultivated root instead of an expensive wild ginseng to reduce cost. CONSTITUTION: The food for treating hepatic fibrosis contains an effective amount of the wild ginseng cultivated root extract obtained by extracting under reduced pressure the hairy root cultivated after infecting the roots of a wild ginseng (Panax schinseng NESS) to Agrobacterium separated from a melon to induce a root hair or the adventitious root obtained by cultivating the root of a natural wild ginseng by tissue culture at a temperature of 101-200 deg.C for 1-24 hours.
