PURPOSE: A system for supplying an Internet connection service for many small-sized subscribers through a LAN and a method for supplying an Internet connection service using the same are provided to improve the Internet connection service of a LAN system. CONSTITUTION: A managing server(10) is mounted in an ISP network center(8) at an exterior of a housing development LAN or at an interior of the housing development LAN. A housing development router(14) is connected to the ISP network center(8) through a high capacity leased-line and the Internet. A main switch(15) is connected to the housing development router(14). A plurality of sub switches(16) are connected to the lower portion of the main switch(15) as a hierarchical star topology. A home gate(17) is mounted in each subscriber, communicated with the managing server(10), receives an IP address from the managing server(10), and allocates IP addresses to user stations(31,32,33,34,35) of the subscribers. A home gate gateway(25) is mounted in each housing development for a communication between the managing server(10) and the home gate(17).
