PURPOSE: A method for simply and easily manufacturing high manganese steel strip having superior formability and high strength without any separate treatment process by using a twin roll strip caster for directly manufacturing strip from molten steel of Fe-Mn-Al-C based high manganese steel is provided. CONSTITUTION: In a method for manufacturing thin strip(50) of high manganese steel strip by supplying molten steel of high manganese steel between twin rolls of a twin roll strip caster comprising twin rolls(20,20') oppositely directed to each other with a roll gap being formed therebetween, an edge dam(40) installed at both end parts of the twin rolls, and a meniscus shield(30) for sealing infiltration of molten steel by blocking the surface level of molten steel, the method is characterized in that a strip having thickness of 1.0 to 6.0 mm is manufactured by controlling casting speed to 10 to 20 m/min and roll repulsive force to 0.1 to 55 kg/mm per roll width directional length, wherein the casting speed and roll repulsive force are controlled in such a way that aluminum nitride is very uniformly deposited in grains and grain boundaries inside the strip, and most of the aluminum nitride has a grain size of 0.5 m or less, and wherein the high manganese steel comprises 0.8 wt.% or less of C, 10 to 40 wt.% of Mn, 0.05 to 8 wt.% of Al and a balance of Fe and other inevitably contained impurities.
