PURPOSE: Provided is an apparatus and a method for automatically controlling an ozone /advanced oxidation process using total organic carbon as an index factor. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus comprises a raw water inlet pipe(1), a liquid flow meter (LFM)(3) for detecting flow rate of raw water, an ozone/advanced oxidation contact tank(2) for bringing ozone or hydrogen peroxide into contact with the raw water to cause reaction, a sensor(4) for detecting total organic carbon (TOC) in the raw water, a control unit(9) for controlling feeding rate of ozone and hydrogen peroxide to be introduced into the contact tank(2) based on data of the TOC and raw water flow rate detected by the sensor(4) and the LFM(3), respectively, and an ozone generation unit(7) for generating and supplying ozone to the contact tank(2) in response to a control signal transmitted from the control unit(9).
