A cable end fastening (3) for a textile loom suspension lever (1) consists of a nipple (3b) with blind holes (3c) on one side to receive the ends of two cables (4), and two parallel eyelets (3a) on the other side which are designed to span the lever edge and receive a pivot (5) which engages with a notch in the lever edge. In a variant of the design the eyelets can be replaced by a single hook which fits into a slot in the lever edge.
