PURPOSE: An operating method for presumptive speed in an anti-lock brake system vehicle is provided to reduce control logic sharply as well as to operate presumptive speed of the vehicle similar to real speed of the vehicle. CONSTITUTION: An operating method for presumptive speed in an anti-lock brake system includes following steps. A detecting signal of speed of a vehicle wheel is supplied from each speed sensor of speed of the vehicle wheel(a). A maximum speed of the vehicle wheel is chosen by processing the detected signal of speed of the vehicle wheel(b). The chosen maximum speed of the vehicle wheel filters in a lower pass with specific cutoff frequency(c). The presumptive speed of the vehicle is operated with waveform acquired from the lower pass filtering(d). Thereby, presumptive vehicle speed similar to real speed is presumed while small amount of data is processed.
