Method for Mesurement of Polycyclic Aromatics in Tire

PURPOSE: A method for determining content of polycyclic aromatics(PCA) in a tire is provided, thereby making it possible to carry out quantitative analysis as well as qualitative analysis of PCA. CONSTITUTION: A method for determining content of polycyclic aromatics(PCA) in a tire comprises the steps of: extracting a sample of tire with tetrahydrofuran; extracting the tetrahydrofuran extract with acetone; and extracting the acetone extract with dimethylsulfoxide, wherein a step of determination of a value obtained by subtracting the content value of 6ppd and RD as aging-preventing agents which is determined by the prior methods from the determined content value of polycyclic aromatics as a new content of polycyclic aromatics may be further added.
