PURPOSE: Provided is a biomarker protein for diagnosing the exposure to benzene. The biomarker is not present in the blood of a normal man but in the blood of a man who is exposed to benzene, or is expressed in the blood of a man who is exposed to benzene more than in the blood of a normal man. CONSTITUTION: A biomarker protein or its immunogenic fragment is selected from the group consisting of Zinc finger protein Helios, Collagenase 3 precursor(matrix metalloproteinase-13), Hypothetical zinc finger protein, Interferon regulatory factor 6, FK506-binding protein, RAS-related protein RAB-36, Guanine nucleotide-binding protein G(0), alpha subunit 1, Homer-2 protein, Phosphoinositiol 4-phosphate Adaptor protein-1, TRF2-interacting telomeric RAP1 protein, FK506-binding protein FKB23 isoform, A6 related protein, Hypothetical protein, T-cell receptor protein(beta chain), and Immunoglobulin light chain variable region.
