PURPOSE: A mass concrete composition incorporated with a limestone fine particle is provided to decrease the hydration heat of the concrete and the time needed for the solidification of the concrete. CONSTITUTION: The concrete composition is characterized by comprising a Class 4 low heat cement incorporated with 20-50 parts by weight of a limestone fine particle based on the total weight of particles, an aggregate and water. The concrete composition optionally further comprises 0.5-2.0 wt% of a high performance water-reducing agent based on polycarbonate.
