FIELD: organic chemistry, chemical technology, antibiotics.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for preparing highly effective antibiotic of cephalosporin series - 7-(1H-tetrazol-1-yl)-acetamido-3-(2-methyl-1,3,4-thiadiazol-5-yl)thiomethyl)-3-cephem-4-carboxylic acid (cefazolin) that can be used for preparing injection solutions. Method is carried out by crystallization of cefazolin from aqueous or aqueous-organic solutions with addition of sodium chloride or sodium acetate solution in the amount 10-25% of water weight in solution followed by filtration of precipitated cefazolin sodium salt, washing out and drying the precipitate. The claimed method provides preparing the agent satisfying requirements of Russian Federation Pharmacopoeia with the yield 85.1-93.0%.;EFFECT: improved preparing method.;6 ex
