Controlling electromagnetic actuator armature motion involves alternately passing current in coils using 3-point regulation to move in oscillation between pole faces of coils against restoring spring
The method involves moving the armature (4) in an oscillatory manner between the pole faces (12,13) of two electromagnetic coils (8,9) against the force of at least one restoring spring (7,11) by alternately passing current through the electromagnetic coils and carrying out 3-point regulation. A neutral value, preferably null, of a control parameter, especially a voltage applied to a coil of an electromagnet, is applied if a switching criterion is detected within an interval. An independent claim is also included for the following: (a) an arrangement for controlling the movement of the armature of an electromagnetic actuator.
