The manufacturing method has a stack of plate-shaped calibration body blanks provided by at least 2 sets of blanks of differing thickness, with formation of the required surface contour for the calibration bodies provided along one side face of the stack, such that the profile is homogenous in the stack direction and calibration of each of the thicker test bodies (A1-A4) in the stack with at least one of the thinner test bodies (B1-B5) in the stack using optical measurement of the contour.
