An electromechanical lock has an outer handle (3) that is connected with a rotatable bar (4). The bar, in turn, is connected in a rotatable manner with a blocking disc (25), which is lockable and unlockable in its rotatory movement (50) through an electromechanically driven blocking device. The device has a blocking disc is connected in rotatory manner with a crosswise running blocking bar (24). The blocking bar acts together with the blocking device built as tilting latch plate for locking and unlocking of rotatory movement of the rotatable blocking disc over the outer handle.
