The device is for acceleration of a gas or fluid in a closed circuit, without the use of mechanical components. Gas is heated in a heating vessel (1), the gas escapes through a nozzle, and is divided into two part flows. One part flow continues its flow with almost unreduced impulse into a tube (8) extending through an evaporator vessel (9), while the second part flow is relieved by cooling in that vessel. The cooled part flow is absorbed by the first flow. Both vessels can be heated and cooled, using counter flow heat exchangers (4,10). The flow energy can be utilized in a heat pump or a connected engine.
