A RF signal receiver (1) has a receiver unit (3), an audio signal amplifier unit (4) and a volume control unit (5). A storage device for storing volume manipulated variables (LS) depending on programs transmitting RF signals, in which the volume control unit (5) has access to the control device and is designed for adjusting the volume during reproduction of RF signals of a program in relation to the stored volume manipulated variables (LS) for the corresponding program. An independent claim is also included for a method of volume control of mobile RF receiver.
