Computer-based premium pay calculation method for use in determining the wages of employees, whereby the wage is comprised of a basic component and premium component. The premium component is calculated from at least two primary characteristic numbers (P, M, Q+S), where P is representative of production, M of material usage and Q and S relate to quality and safety respectively. The invention also relates to a corresponding computer program and computer program product for implementation of the inventive method.
