Isolated, pluripotent adult stem cells (A) obtained from exocrine gland tissue, is new. Independent claims are also included for: (1) stem cell cultures that comprise (A) in a culture medium that allows stable maintenance and replication of the cells without significant differentiation; (2) primary stem cell cultures of exocrine gland tissue in which most of the living cells are undifferentiated (A); (3) organoid bodies (OB) obtained by culturing (A) under spatial conditions that provide three-dimensional contact between cells; (4) secondary organoid bodies (OB2) produced from OB by spontaneous growth on surfaces without confined surface adhesion; (5) preparing (A); (6) preparing differentiated cells from (A); (7) differentiated cells (B) obtained from (A); and (8) differentiation culture comprising (B) and/or OB or OB2 in a differentiation medium.
