The warm-up phase shortening method has the oil circulation circuits associated with the IC engine and the drive transmission heated via energy provided by the onboard electrical system of the automobile, e.g. using an electrical heating element supplied via the excess charge of the automobile battery or via electrical energy recuperated during braking.
