Switching device for automobile head lamp beam responding to light level from oncoming vehicle for automatic switching between full and dipped head lamp beams

The switching device responds to light from an oncoming vehicle, above a minimum light level, for automatically switching the head lamp beam to obtain a dipped head lamp beam, with switching back to the full head lamp beam when light above the minimum light level is not longer received. An independent claim for an automobile with a head lamp beam switching device is also included.
