A static micromixer assembly incorporates a mixer plate (1) with an ingredient inlet (2) to a passage (3) and an outlet (4) to a mixing zone (5). The passage (3) outlet (4) is subdivided into many small passages (7) by a microstructure (6). The sub-millimeter wide passages (7) are much narrower than the width of the mixing zone. The width of the small passages is 1 Microm to 2 mm. The micromixer body incorporates a heat exchanger. Independent claims are included for; (1) A flame-heated reactor; (2) A continual process to prepare substances by homogenization, dispersion, emulsification, dilution, admixture of gas, and chemical reactions e.g. combustion; (3) A gas or oil burner; and (4) A commensurate chemical reaction process in which two separate reactive fluids are combined and mixed, followed by external triggering of the reaction or a spontaneous reaction.
