The dispenser has a housing (1) with a reception space for the loose material and a discharge device (2) having a discharge opening fitted with an attached discharge spout (2a) and a pivoted closure cap (3). The latter slides across the base surface of the housing adjacent the discharge opening and has at least one ribbed edge providing a seal with the base surface.
