Process for supplying sealing rings (2), especially oily or greasy sealing rings, to an automated assembly system comprises placing the sealing rings into a pot-shaped container (1) rotating about its axis of symmetry. A guide device (3) fixed relative to the container guides the sealing rings adhering to the rotating inner wall of the reservoir along the container inner wall upward into an annular, edge-side collecting track (5) of the container. The sealing rings are removed from the collecting track by a guide element (4) fixed relative to the container, separated in a channel-shaped section (6) of the guide element, and supplied to the assembly system. An independent claim is also included for a device used for carrying out the process.
