Drive device for a windscreen wiper comprises an output gearwheel, a gear cover (4) provided with a plastic sleeve that opens toward the output gearwheel, and a parking position switch. The sleeve is a contact sleeve (8) with contact tracks (31, 31b, 53a). One of the contact tracks is arranged on the inner surface of the contact sleeve. A carrier device has a carrier plate (9) with a central cylindrical part (10) and contact lugs (13, 14) on the surface of the cylindrical part. The cylindrical part extends into the contact sleeve so that the contact lugs of the carrier plate, that rotates with the output gearwheel, engage in a sliding manner on the contact tracks of the contact sleeve.
