Production of a suspension concentrate (A) containing prothioconazole (I) involves: (a) mixing (I) with formulation auxiliaries and water; (b) subjecting mixture to coarse milling; (c) carrying out fine milling; and (d) treating with water and optionally further formulation auxiliaries. Production of a suspension concentrate (A) containing prothioconazole (I) involves: (a) mixing (I), mainly in form thermodynamically metastable at room temperature, with formulation auxiliaries and water; (b) subjecting mixture to coarse milling; (c) carrying out fine milling such that per liter of product capacity not more than 3.3 kg of suspension passes through milling apparatus per hour; and (d) treating with water and optionally further formulation auxiliaries.
