Fluid system reservoir, e.g. for the coolant circuit of a motor vehicle, has a lid that is screwed onto the throat of the container. The lid has a blocking arrangement with a blocking element (16) that is moved by a predefined temperature within the area of the container to a blocking position, in which it prevents movement of the lid (6) into an open position. The blocking arrangement comprises a thermal element that expands with the heat in the reservoir to prevent opening of the lid until the temperature falls below a threshold.
