The drying device (1) has a holder (6) for supporting the electric shaver (2) at a given angle to the vertical above a reception part (9) made of an absorbant material, for receiving the liquid which runs off from the cutting head (3). The reception part may lie in contact with the cutting head of the electric shaver during the drying process. An independent claim for a method for drying a cutting head of an electric shaver is also included.
