The arrangement comprises several distance sensors (4) for generating signals indicating distance to objects in vicinity of a vehicle, and a position determination unit (5) for detecting position of objects relative to the vehicle. An approach sensor (6) detects the nearest object and controls an output unit using ring object data stored in a read memory (8). An acoustic warning signal is generated by loudspeakers (3,17) so that it is at least two-dimensional and comes from the direction of the object being approached.
