The precious stone (12) is suspended from holding elements (16) at its widest outer contour (20) in a recess (18) formed into the main part (14) of the ring or pendant. In production a basic model of silver is created first and filled with wax. The stone (12) is attached to the wax model (30) provided with a space (22) underneath the stone (12) for the embedding substance. The substance is added through inclined lateral ducts (24), facilitating the creation of an object with no opening at the bottom.
