Controlling internal combustion engine involves determining fuel quantity base value from load parameter, corrected with value dependent on fuel pressure in feed device and nozzle needle displacement
The method involves determining the fuel quantity to be dispensed depending on a load parameter and a parameter describing the form of the fuel jet and/or the fuel atomization of the injection valve. A base value (MFFBAS) for fuel quantity is determined from a load parameter and corrected with a value (COR1) dependent on the fuel pressure (FUP) in the feed device and the nozzle needle displacement (INJVL).
