Internal combustion engine controlling method, involves determining fuel quantity parameter characterizing corrective fuel quantity during main injection phase, based on parameters characterizing opening and closing time of fuel injector
The method involves determining a fuel quantity parameter characterizing corrective fuel quantity (K) during a main injection phase. The parameter is determined based on a parameter characterizing a timing interval of the phase and a pre-injection phase, and a parameter characterizing temperature of an internal combustion engine. The quantity parameter is determined based on a parameter (dt) characterizing control duration of the pre-injection phase, and parameters characterizing opening and closing time of an fuel injector. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a computer program for controlling an internal combustion engine (2) a computer program product comprising program code for performing a method for controlling an internal combustion engine.
