The shuttering for the concrete wall (10) consists of outer (12) and inner (14) concrete plates with a space (13) between them containing steel reinforcing rods (16) and filled with poured concrete. A gap between two adjacent inner plates accommodates a set of U-section polymer concrete channels (20,20') butted together (23,24). The ends of the U-sections are butted together without overlapping. The edges of the U-sections (22) have cutouts (25) to accommodate the edges of flat cover plates. The inside surfaces of the U-sections are marked with an alignment grid (98) for fastening screws holding cable ducts.
