The workstation for a bobbin winder, to produce cross wound bobbins, has an electromotor to drive the traversing yarn guide which is fitted with an angular sensor (19) similar to a Hall sensor. A permanent ring magnet (20) is keyed to the motor shaft of the yarn guide drive (14), by a support ring (21) and screw bolts (22), where the line through the magnetic north (N) and south (S) poles runs through the motor shaft. A Hall integrated circuit (29) is at a static sensor carrier (23), connected to an electronic circuit.
