The armrest has a support part (1.1) and a stuffing compartment (1.2) that are mounted relative to a handbrake lever (4) such that the part and compartment are moveable along a longitudinal direction of an automobile. A slot (1.3) is provided above the support part. An intermediate part (2) is formed from two plastic shells, which are placed on gripping position of the lever and are form-fittingly connected through a built-in hook.
