The device has a hydro pneumatic spring unit (3) between a wagon body and a bogie to ensure an elevated level for the body when a railway carriage is in motion, and adjusts a lower platform level for the body. An emergency spring cylinder (8) is arranged beside the unit to ensure an emergency spring level for emergency operation in an event of a system failure. The cylinder and unit are operated over two hydraulic systems.
