Method for determining the torque acting on a rotating component using at least a sensor for measuring at least a torque-dependent measurement value. According to the method, the measurement value is measured at, at least two, selected operating points (BP1, BP2). The torque at a particular point is determined using the operating curve. An independent claim is made for a device for measuring the torque acting on a rotating component, e.g. using a force sensor operating of a Cardan shaft. The force is measured at at least two well defined points where it can be related to a torque.
