The barrier fence has steel posts (8) which are sunk in the ground used for supporting U-shaped sheet steel profiles (1), each having a vertical wall panel (2) and upper and lower edge strips (5,3), the ends of adjacent profiles and the fence post between them enclosed by a sheet steel coupling (13). The latter is secured to the fence post via threaded bolts (18), with the vertical wall panel of at least one profile clamped between them and is secured to the end of each profile via screws (29).
