A method for electrical and mechanically-adhering joining of enamel-insulated wire ends, in which an insulating enamel layer is at least partly removed around the wire end which is then pressed onto a contact surface. The enamel layer is at least partly removed by application of mechanical force during pressing of the wire end (2) on the contact surface (4) with subsequent forming of a bonding joint. An independent claim is included for a device for carrying out the method of joining enamel-insulated wire ends.
