The bathtub (1) has a seat (1a) for the patient. There is a modified hemispherical recess containing an outlet opening (3) and a drain (5) in the floor (1b). A tank containing some water and the fish has a rounded or hemispherical bottom and is lowered into the recess, where it is a close fit. A lid may fit over the top of the tank. The bathtub is filled with water between 24 and 37 degrees C through inlets (2) in the sides. The lid is removed and the fish can swim free when the bath is drained, the fish go back into the removable tank.
